Wedding and evening dresses with corset bones

Corset bones are read as longitudinal lines or channels in the bodice, although they may be hidden under the fabric. Compare their placement on the right and left, starting near the top edge, ending near the waist, and the behavior of the contours while sitting and moving, without attributing support or retraction to the design.

290 model

On one bodice, the vertical channels can become part of the graphics, on another, they can remain under the fabric and read only in side light. Corset bones are defined as separate linear structural elements, but the name does not communicate their material, stiffness or functional effect. It also does not guarantee snugness, support or comfort.

Each line is traced from the beginning to the edge

Find the high and low points of the channel, then compare the paired lines in the face. Check for the same height, direction and distance from the center, not considering intentional asymmetry as a defect. On lace see how the canal passes under the picture; on a smooth surface - does its edge show in the profile shot.

Corset bodice describes the structure of the entire top, while the bones are only one possible element. Sewn cups have their own contour and are checked separately: the presence of one feature does not automatically prove the properties of the other.

At the fitting in CRYSTAL, look at the edges of the channels while standing, then sit down, turn the case and raise your hands. Trace where the bodice bends, whether the symmetry and visibility of the lines have changed after the movement. Specify the material, the way the channels end, and the possibility of adjustment only for a specific model.
