Wedding and evening dresses with a square neckline

If straight cut runs one horizontal line, the square one adds two clear vertical lines to it. Together, they form a frame around the neckline, open the collarbones and make the architecture of the top more visible. Compared with rounded cut there is no soft arc here: the corners set a more graphic, modern rhythm.

A wide frame expands the shoulder line more and leaves more open space, a narrow frame draws attention closer to the center. The depth determines whether the neckline will remain discreet or become the main accent of the neckline. A short pendant can end in the center of the frame, earrings leave the geometry open, and a necklace with a wide horizontal line risks duplicating the edge. Shoulder-length hair shows the angles and straps in full. At a fitting in Lviv, look at a dress with a front and three-quarter length, sit down and turn your shoulders: this way it is easier to assess not only openness, but also whether the width of the frame corresponds to your proportions. Separately, check whether the corners and straps are symmetrical when you are not straightening your posture in front of the mirror.
