Wedding and evening dresses with a removable cape
A removable cape is a separate layer that starts at the shoulders or neck and changes the top and back contour of the dress. The card must confirm completeness and fastening. On the fitting, check the length, contacts with the back, sleeves and train, practice removal, storage and reattachment.

The back view best shows exactly what the cape adds: a new line from the shoulders or neck, an extra layer along the back, and its own bottom edge. Its length and width depend on the model. The "detachable" mark describes the possibility of disconnection, but does not confirm the completeness, simplicity of the mechanism or the inconspicuousness of the fasteners - this should be checked in the product card.
Bolero is a shorter upper element that outlines the body and often the sleeves; the cape falls in a separate layer from the upper line. Veil among accessories is attached to the head or hairstyle, so it has a different starting point. Detachable sleeves change arms and armholes, rather than forming a solid back contour.
Find all attachment points near the neck, shoulders or back and look at them from the front, side and back. Check that the cape does not cover the fastener and open back, how its edges interact with the sleeves and where the bottom line meets the plume. Raise your hands, take a few steps and come back: appreciate the actual contact of the layers without assuming warmth or comfort.
Ask to be shown the disconnect sequence, then repeat it yourself. Determine in advance the place for the removed cape and the method of transfer without haphazard folding. Before reattaching, straighten the layer, connect the right and left points and make a back frame. At a fitting in CRYSTAL, such a rehearsal will show the real procedure without promises of quick removal or an automatically ceremonial image.
