The basis of this wedding look was a pressed silhouette of a mermaid, made of delicate ivory lace. A corset bodice with exposed underwire and built-in cups creates a statement sweetheart neckline and is complemented by long, off-the-shoulder lace sleeves. A fine pattern of lace, embroidery and beading flows seamlessly into the sleeves and skirt, which tapers to the hips, ending in a mid-length train. The lower edge of the corset descends with a sharp cape in the style of a basque, elongating the proportions. The contrast of the smooth mikado and the lace base adds volume at the back and creates a longer, defined train with a soft transition. The deep, open neckline on the back remains visible against the background of the lush folds of the mikado.
