In a layered look, the most informative place is where the top meets the skirt. The bodice continues below the waist and has its own bottom line; if a fastener is visible on a particular product, rate it as well. An attribute can describe an individual element or part of a set, but does not in itself confirm the set.
The main check is the border with the skirt
Compare this limit with natural waist line: it can be above, below or directly below the skirt belt. Look at the face and profile to see if the contour of the lower part is visible through the upper layer and how the joint changes when sitting. The name "bodysuit" does not guarantee that the border will be invisible.
High Neck or long sleeves form the upper contour, but do not determine the design of the entire element. Unlike bolero, a bodysuit is not a short layer that ends over a skirt. Corset bodice describes the visible construction of the top and may be combined with bodysuits, but these names are not synonymous and do not confirm endorsement.
In a one-piece dress, the bodice and skirt belong to the same product; in the set, the joint of individual parts must be checked together.
